Mayor Spano Picks Up Endorsement from Hispanos Para Spano

On April 21, Hispanos Para Spano, a coalition of Hispanic residents in Yonkers, announced their endorsement of Mayor Mike Spano in his bid for re-election. The announcement was made at a rally held in the heart of the Southwest corridor of city, where approximately 150 community members and leaders gathered to show their support for the incumbent Mayor.

“I am honored to have the support of Hispanos Para Spano,” said Mayor Spano. “Their endorsement is a testament to the work my administration has done to support the Hispanic community in Yonkers, and I am committed to continuing to work together to ensure a brighter future for all Yonkers residents.”

The rally featured speeches from several members of the coalition, who highlighted Mayor Spano’s record of supporting Hispanic-owned businesses, promoting diversity in local government, and advocating for the Yonkers school district, which is majority Latino. They also praised his commitment to investing in infrastructure and public safety in the city.

Millie Gutierrez, Community Activist, said, “Mayor Mike Spano’s interest in serving the Hispanic community is unmatched by any other. His flawless track record and his undeniable love for all people of Yonkers is why I feel he is the best Mayoral candidate for our great City.”

Wilson Soto, Community Advocate, said, “Mike Spano has done a great job leading our city in the right direction. His forceful dedication to addressing quality of life issues benefits the residents of Yonkers immensely and in particular, the growing Hispanic community.”

The Mayor’s re-election campaign is focused on building on the progress made during his tenure, including expanding economic opportunities, improving access to affordable housing, maintaining a low crime rate and investing in Yonkers’ infrastructure and school district. With the support of Hispanos Para Spano, Mayor Spano is well-positioned to continue moving Yonkers forward.
