Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano presented the 2019 Youth Advisory Board’s “Top High School Youth Service” Awards on May 22 in the Mayor’s Reception Room at Yonkers City Hall to Yonkers students who have positively impacted the lives of Yonkers residents through their community service. The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board selected four honorees, one per high school grade level, who were most deserving of the Top High School Youth Service Award.
Through online submissions, each honoree highlighted the meaningful contributions they have made to the City of Yonkers through volunteer service while positively impacting the lives of Yonkers residents throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board consists of five young Yonkers residents charged with creating and recommending effective policies, programs and projects to further youth development in the City of Yonkers.
Congratulations to Yonkers future leaders, educators and agents of change; Krysten Jackson, Jaylene Anderson, Mia Diaz, and Yonkers My Brother’s Keeper’s very own, David Armah. And Thanks to the board for honoring these young civic leaders!
