Team USA Takes on Paraguay in the Opening Match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 12 on Yonkers Waterfront

Mayor Mike Spano and the City of Yonkers, in partnership with The 914 Collective, announced today a free, public World Cup Watch Party on Friday, June 12 at the Yonkers waterfront. The event will bring the community together to watch Team USA open its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign against Paraguay on a giant outdoor screen along the Hudson River.
The free event takes place at 99 Dock Street in Downtown Yonkers from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Gates open at 8:00 PM with a live DJ set leading into kickoff at 9:00 PM. Residents and visitors are encouraged to wear their country’s colors, bring their own chairs, and enjoy a night of soccer, music, food vendors, and waterfront views.
“Yonkers has always been a City that brings people together, and this World Cup is a once-in-a-generation moment to celebrate that on the world’s biggest stage,” said Mayor Mike Spano. “We’re excited to host this free event on our waterfront and give everyone a chance to cheer on Team USA alongside their neighbors.”
