City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda-Isaac recently held what has become a summer tradition in Yonkers; the annual week-long CP2 tennis camp. “It was such a treat to watch kids from the community pick up a tennis racquet for the very first time. I first sponsored this tennis camp in 2019, but due to COVID, we were unable to host it last year. I’m glad we were able to bring it back this year. I was able to partner with a talented group of individuals, including Jay from Ninja Tennis Academy based in NJ as well as the Ryu family and team. We had a total of 14 kids who participated. They each took home a free tennis racquet, an Aces for Aces CP2 tennis camp t-shirt, and a medal for their participation. Two lucky winners won 2 weeks of tennis lessons with the Yonkers Department of Parks Tennis program. We can’t wait to do it again next year,” said Pineda-Isaac, who recently won the democratic primary to continue to represent the 2nd Council District.
