In 2020, we’ve let nonessentials fall by the wayside to focus on surviving the pandemic. That’s understandable … but as we adjust to the challenges a new way of life, do not think of breast cancer screening as nonessential.
The American Cancer Society notes that many individuals are putting cancer screenings cancer on hold this year. It is important to remember cancer doesn’t take a break. One in eight women in the U.S. will receive a breast cancer diagnosis by her 75th birthday. That’s why it’s so important to keep up with routine mammograms.
