Westchester County Parks’ Learn to Swim program returns this summer at all four county-owned pools with registration opening Tuesday, March 15 at noon.
Learn to Swim is available for children ages three through 13 and will be held in two sessions, with session one running from Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 21 and session two from Tuesday, July 26 through Thursday, Aug. 11. Class times to choose from are 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Each session is $80 per child.
Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “Our Learn to Swim program is a great way to introduce swimming to young children and also provide them with the skill set to later on become a lifeguard.”
Learn to Swim will be held at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains, Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers, Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers and Willson’s Woods Pool in Mt. Vernon. For additional questions call (914) 231-4556.
