Residents and bus riders can learn more about a current study of Bee-Line Bus Service between 242nd Street, Bronx, and Getty Square, Yonkers, at a public meeting Nov. 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Public Library, 1 Larkin St., Yonkers.
The 242nd Street/Getty Square corridor is served by Bee-Line Routes 1, 2 and 3. This corridor is one of the busiest in Westchester County, with nearly 300 Route 1/2/3 trips, generating approximately 17,000 passengers each weekday.
The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking opportunities to improve the operational efficiency along the corridor in order to best serve the needs of its users.
The public meeting is a follow-up to a previous meeting held in March when the project
was introduced, existing conditions were analyzed and feedback was received. This meeting
is intended to present the proposed set of shortand long-term recommendations for the corridor. For more information, visit westchestergov.com
