Assemblyman Nader Sayegh’s campaign for re-election received a large boost on October 1st when he was endorsed by the Yonkers Police Benevolent Association (PBA), Yonkers Captains, Lieutenants, and Sergeants Association (CLSA), and the Westchester County PBA. These endorsements reflect the Assemblyman’s long-standing commitment to public safety, supporting law enforcement, and advocating for policies that ensure safe communities.
”I am honored to receive the endorsement of these respected organizations,” said Assemblyman Sayegh. “I will continue to stand with our brave officers and work tirelessly to ensure they have the resources and support they need to protect our communities.”
Joining Assemblyman Sayegh in front of the Robert W. Cacace Justice Center in Yonkers on October 1st was Yonkers PBA President Frank McDonald, Yonkers CLSA President Mike Hanley, and Westchester County PBA President Wilberto Saez, and several members of local law enforcement.
Assemblyman Sayegh has consistently fought for increased funding for public safety, mental health resources for officers, and better tools for crime prevention. His office has also awarded the Yonkers Police Department several grants for de-escalation training via the Integrating Communications, Assessment, and Tactics (ICAT) training in the past few years, as well as contributing grants for the new joint-YPD/YFD training center in central Yonkers.
These endorsements reflect the trust and confidence law enforcement has in Assemblyman Sayegh’s ability to continue championing their needs while ensuring public safety remains a top priority.
