Westchester County Executive George Latimer is encouraging prospective employees to participate in the County’s transportation careers job fair. The daylong event will feature a morning session from 10am to 12pm open to Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The afternoon session will offer information on careers in transportation.

Latimer said: “Transportation keeps this County moving forward and allows potential employees to develop and amplify skills needed to work at our airport or transportation hubs, even in the private sector. We are pleased to partner with the MTA to offer this kind of opportunity to Westchester job seekers.”
Director of the Westchester County Office of Economic Development Bridget Gibbons said: “Our job fairs are continuing to be a successful pipeline to building a strong workforce and creating a collaborative partnership between Westchester County and employers like the MTA. We know we have talented people looking for the right opportunity and we hope to strengthen economic opportunities for our neighbors by providing a link to their career development.
Exhibitors include the New York State Department of Transportation, Hudson Valley Region, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New York State; Westchester County Airport, The Bee-Line bus, school and private bus companies, car limousine services such as Red Oak Transportation, and more. Participants are encouraged to be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. Prospective employees are also advised to bring multiple copies of their resume and a picture ID.
