Latimer and All 15 County Board Democrats Endorse Gov. Hochul for Re-Election

On Feb. 10, County Executive George Latimer and all 15 democratic members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign for a full term.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of these dedicated public servants who have  delivered results to improve the lives of Westchester residents of all backgrounds,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “I look forward to collaborating with them to tackle the issues facing Westchester County and working families across the state.”

George Latimer, Westchester County Executive said, “Kathy Hochul has a deep understanding of government based on her wealth of experience at the local, state, and federal levels. The governor has proven time and again that she is committed to building a State that works for all New Yorkers. She has kept our economy open while protecting New Yorkers throughout the most recent COVID-19 surge and demonstrated a steadfast commitment to moving New York forward. It is for these reasons that I am proud to endorse Governor Hochul for a full term.”

Christopher Johnson, Westchester County Legislature Majority Leader said, “Governor Hochul has proven herself to be a decisive and effective leader in her short time as governor, as she has throughout her entire career in public service. She is a consensus-builder and a fighter for New York’s middle class, and her agenda is delivering results for the people of Westchester. I have gotten to know Governor Hochul through her many visits to our community and I am confident in her ability to continue leading New York through the pandemic. I’m honored to give my endorsement to Governor Hochul as she seeks a full term.”

Catherine Borgia, Westchester County Board Chairwoman said, “I am endorsing Governor Hochul because of her steadfast commitment to helping working families. She understands the needs of all New Yorkers upstate and downstate and has a proven track-record of building relationships at all levels of government. Her leadership has made all the difference to the people of Westchester as we continue to navigate the challenges of the pandemic. She has been a collaborative partner on our work here in Westchester, and I’m proud to endorse her for Governor.”

Other Westchester County Legislators Endorsing Governor Hochul include: Nancy Barr, Vice Chairwoman, José Alvarado, Majority Whip, Colin Smith, Erika Pierce, Vedat Gashi, Benjamin Boykin, Catherine Parker, Jewel Williams Johnson, Damon Maher, Terry Clements, MaryJane Shimsky, Tyrae Woodson-Samuels, David Tubiolo.
