The Easter Bunny made one of his final appearance in Yonkers last weekend, but it was, as always, his most popular event, with hundreds of kids and families anticipating the PAL Easter Egg Hunt this year held at Memorial Field on March 31.

With the held of the City of Yonkers Parks Department, the PAL did a wonderful job making sure that the eggs were out for three different age groups. Special thanks to PAL Board member Dave Villar for his help with the Easter Bunny.

The smiling faces on the large crowd of families and children, as they enjoyed a day of finding eggs and other activities.  PAL staff and volunteers helped make it a great day as the kids ran out to collect their eggs, each with something inside, with the hopes of finding the golden egg.

Leviya Thomas was the winner of the Golden Egg for the 5-8 year old age group. Keesha Rasseau found the “Chris Egg” named for longtime PAL Board member Chris Palandra, who founded the egg hunt and kept it going for more than 35 years; April Ojeda, found the golden egg for the 4 and under age group, and Dexter Betanzos, found the golden egg for the youngest age group.

Thanks for all the hard work, Easter Bunny, see you next year!
