I’m Lost in Yonkers! Again!

So Elon Musk brings his son to the White House several weeks ago. The kid looks at President Trump as some kind of maniac, having minimal eye contact. Basically, the kid was dissing Mr. Trump and Trump was ignoring the kid. So you did you really think the friendship between Trump and the kids father Elon Musk would be long lasting?

Friends, after 4 months, December 17 to the end of April I was a patient in hospitals in New Jersey and New York and a Rehabilitation facility I am proud to say that I’m back in Yonkers enjoying life. Eating Yonkers pizza and enjoying real Yonkers bagels.

Due to my scoliosis and Parkinson’s I was losing strength in my right leg, and the orthopedist and the neurologist both agreed it was time to operate to clean out the spine. They did just. I was supposed to go home the next day, Infection set in, a high fever developed, and it was all down from there.

Central Avenue has taken on a new look. The last time I visited Ground Round a friend and her family had just finished purchasing the restaurant. With the exception of the peanuts on the floor and my friend and her family and my party of 2 we were the only people in the place. It didn’t last long, and neither did Boulder Creek steakhouse which followed. The property was empty for so long so that when I came back from my medical ‘vacation’ I was shocked to see a big building in its place. I wish the owners of the business that will occupy that space good luck in their endeavor.

It seems like everyday a business is opening downtown whether it be a restaurant or other top notch place. Full storefronts are good for a the cof

People are driving crazy so be careful if you take your car for a spin. We need more Police Guarding our streets and ticketing those making travel in Yonkers so difficult for others. The roads are shared roads remember that.

One thing that shocked me was the Mayor’s appointment to the School Board. We don’t need people who steal food from Yonkers families on Thanksgiving on prestigious boards and commissions governing our city. Have we forgotten that people went hungry on Thanksgiving due to Lorraine Lopez antics. There are many qualified individuals in Yonkers to serve on Boards and Commissions. This appointment is a big disappointment, and Mayor Spano knows better than to put Lopez on a Board protecting our children.

On a positive note I have heard many good things going on in our schools. Anibal Solar has done a good job taking over the Yonkers Schools. We wish him continued success.

So I am back, Lost in Yonkers again. Kudos to Mayor Spano for a job well done while I was gone. Isn’t I truly amazing what you miss being away 4 month. May the sun shine over Yonkers.
