Wrong exit, wrong City… When a vehicle fled from a traffic stop with a Westchester County Police Officer on the Saw Mill Parkway a few weeks ago, the driver made the mistake of getting off on Yonkers Avenue.
Our Officers were waiting for the vehicle at the exit ramp and continued the pursuit, with County Police following right behind them. A vehicle pursuit through city streets ended with a crash and multiple foot pursuits through a park, train tracks, and ultimately, three arrests with some taser deployments.
The proceeds of this stop? 2 loaded guns- both Glock handguns (one with a 30-round magazine) as well as six bags of pink cocaine.
Mathiu Garcia (Bronx-23), Luis Fernando Da Silva (Yonkers-23), and Ronald Sanchez Urdaneta (Yonkers-20) were all charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. Mathiu Garcia was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree.
When YPD Officers team up with our friends at WCPD, you’re not getting away that easily.
