Goons4Good is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its recent Comedy Night, held on June 26 at Village Lutheran Church, which brought together 102 attendees for an evening of laughter and community spirit. The event, featuring a stellar lineup of comedic talent, raised $1,600. These funds were donated to the Community Services Associates (CSA) Soup Kitchen in Mount Vernon, NY on July 17.
The Comedy Night showcased a remarkable array of comedians and delicious food. There was even a 50/50 Raffle, “We were so thankful that the winner donated her half of the raffle back to event.” The proceeds from this event will significantly support CSA Soup Kitchen’s mission to provide nutritious meals to individuals in need, fostering a sense of community and ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry.
Goons4Good is committed to spreading joy and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. The presentation of the check to CSA Soup Kitchen was scheduled for July 17th during VLC’s monthly trip. Each month members of Village Lutheran Church & The Chapel School, sign up to cook meals for over 80 people. These meals are then delivered to the soup kitchen for distribution.
“We are immensely grateful to everyone who attended and supported our Comedy Night,” said Dave Chametzky, co-founder of Goons4Good. “The success of this event is a testament to the power of community and the impact that laughter can have when it’s combined with a commitment to helping those in need.”
