Two Towns, One Mission: Serving Those Who Served

Freedom Chapel held a Serving Those Who Served lunch for Veteran’s Day as a heartfelt gathering of gratitude honoring the men and women of Yorktown and Mahopac who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.
The newly founded church in Jefferson Valley — just eight months young — hosted this dual-location celebration with luncheons honoring local heroes at the Yorktown VFW, and Mahopac VFW.
“Our veterans have given so much to protect our freedoms,” said Pastor Julio Vazquez, “Freedom Chapel has chosen to show our gratitude by serving those in our area and honoring their sacrifices.”
Freedom Chapel members and volunteers came together to serve Veterans Day lunch for more than 200 veterans, with Pastor Vazquez leading a prayer and blessing the veterans in attendance. “It’s a privilege to serve the community we call home – Yorktown – and stand beside veterans of the Mahopac VFW who are also part of our church family. Serving both hometowns is deeply personal to us.” said Pastor Vazquez.
