Democrat Susan Cacace, retired County Court Judge and candidate for Westchester County District Attorney, has been endorsed by David Szuchman, former candidate for Westchester County District Attorney.
“A commitment to public service has always been a significant part of my life, having spent 20 years investigating and prosecuting crime in order to protect survivors and communities,” said Szuchman.
He continued, “As a former prosecutor and Chief of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Investigations Division, I know firsthand the critical role the DA’s office plays in keeping our communities safe. For these reasons, I enthusiastically endorse Democrat Susan Cacace as Westchester’s next District Attorney.”
Szuchman is fully committed to the future of this county. As a lifelong New Yorker who’s called Westchester home for nearly 20 years, and the place he has chosen to raise his family, he is encouraged by the thought of Susan Cacace running the DA’s office. “I have spent time with Judge Cacace and am aware of the vision she has for the office and am inspired by it,” Szuchman says. “From continuing the important work done by District Attorney Rocah’s Conviction Review Unit, focusing on innovative alternatives to incarceration, securing advancements in terms of cyber security and sex crimes, to getting guns off the streets and developing more diversionary programs, Susan Cacace is the right leader for this job.”
At the time of her retirement, Cacace was the longest serving Westchester County Court Judge, who notably ran the Sex Offense Part of the County Court for over 14 years. She has pledged to make crimes against children and sex offenses committed against the most vulnerable victims, our children and our elderly, a major priority if elected.
