Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Community Breakfast Jan 19-Nepperhan Community Center, Yonkers

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, the Mayor’s African American Advisory Board and the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services and Minority Affairs, together with co-sponsors Yonkers Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy, Council Majority Whip Deana Norman and Councilwoman Tasha Diaz, will host the annual MLK Community Breakfast on Monday, January 19, 2025, from 9AM to 11AM at the Nepperhan Community Center located at 342 Warburton Avenue, Yonkers.

This year’s theme, “Mission Possible 2,” celebrates the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a morning of inspiration, community, and purpose.

Attendees will enjoy breakfast, hear from impactful speakers, and connect with others committed to making a difference.

“Dr. King’s vision of unity and justice continues to guide our community,” said Mayor Spano. “His call for equality, compassion, and civic responsibility remains as urgent today as it was during the Civil Rights Movement. The MLK Breakfast is more than a gathering—it is a moment for reflection, dialogue, and renewed commitment. By coming together across neighborhoods, cultures, and generations, we honor Dr. King’s mission and recommit ourselves to building a stronger, more inclusive Yonkers where every voice is valued and every resident has the opportunity to thrive.”
