Council President Lakisha Collins-Bellamy Thanks Democratic Voters and Supporters

I would like to take a moment to thank God and my family.

I’m grateful to my dedicated staff and the countless volunteers who endured the cold while gathering signatures to get me on the ballot, and who braved this week’s heat wave.

I have to acknowledge Tasha Diaz, Chuck Lesnick, Mike Khader and Pete Spano for running a great race.

I look forward to working together to continue to move Yonkers forward.

Also. I’m praying for the full recovery and healing of Chuck Lesnick.

I am forever grateful for the endorsements I received. Thank you for believing in my campaign.

I have to acknowledge Mayor Mike Spano. Chairman Tom Meier and the YDC Executive committee, Majority Leader John Rubbo, County Executive Ken Jenkins. Congressman George Latimer. The Honorable Mondaire Jones, Westchester Jewish Democrats and Eleanor’s legacy. I am grateful for the union support from Yonkers Firefighters Local 628. Yonkers PBA, and the Yonkers Federation of Teachers, Thank you for the support and for standing with me during this hard fought campaign.

I look forward to continuing to work and deliver for all residents of the great city of Yonkers. Let’s keep up the momentum going into victory in the general election on November 4th. God bless Lakeisha. Collins Bellamy.
