Rep. Mike Lawler on Journalist Mark Halperin’s 2Way Tonight show

Westchester Congressman Mike Lawler does something most politicians won’t do. He takes interviews from all channels and all political ideologies.
Rep. Lawler has shown himself in these interviews to be articulate, and depending on the interview, he will challenge the host and defend his viewpoint.
One recent interview that we heard Lawler on was on a new platform called 2Way. Lawler appeared with host Mark Halperin to discuss the Hunter Biden pardon given by his father, President Joe Biden.
Halperin is one of the best journalists in the country, but also one of the most bi-partisan members of the media. Which is why we like to listen to his Morning Meetings on 2Way (2Way.tv).
“I think Joe Biden’s legacy has been left in tatters by his decision to run for reelection and now this (pardon), and democrats losing the senate and the White House. This (pardon) is the icing on the cake.
“He (President Biden) repeatedly lied to the American people, saying that he would not give his son a pardon. And his staff repeatedly lied to the public.
“What is jarring is he’s pardoning him (Hunter) over an 11 year period, which is the period of time that the House investigation committee was investigating the foreign dollars that flowed, $24 Million to the Biden family through 20 shell companies. It blows a hole in his claims in 2020 that his son never received any money from China. That was a lie and he knew it to be a lie, and said it repeatedly.
“The American people should determine who the next president will be. In this election, they spoke and elected Donald Trump,” said Lawler, who pointed out that now that Hunter has been pardoned, he is not subject to any crimes, and thus, can be called to testify before Congress. “At some point, Hunter Biden is going to have to answer questons as a witness,” said Lawler.
Lawler then reviewed the key details of the Congressional investigation into Hunter Biden with an encyclopedic memory and no notes. “The investigation showed disturbing facts and warranted an investigation by the press. The bank records show that over $24 Million flowed from Russia, China, Romania, and Ukraine to the Bidens.
“The money was transferred to a shell company owned by Hunter and James Biden. then to a shell company owned by James and Sarah Biden. Then to the personal account of James and Sarah Biden. And then a check was written to Joe Biden.”
“I go on every single network and speak to every reporter. I think the media has to be sincere in questioning every single elected official. Don’t push one agenda over another. The credibility of the media is completely shot. From the Russia investigation to this investigation. The media needs to be skeptical and ask the tough questions.”
“Given the totality, it will leave a lasting negative impression on Joe Biden,” said Lawler.
