In the New York State semifinal round on Tuesday, 7/19 the Eastchester LL won a thrilling game which ended in a walk off, game winning hit by Kate Attwood, scoring two and giving the team the victory.
While the girls fell short in game 2, they ended up #3 overall in the entire state. “This was an incredible run for our team, I will never forget what these young ladies accomplished. They are amazing,” said Coach Eddie Reardon.”We had a strong team top to bottom. This took years of hard work by these girls to accomplish this. We set a high standard for them and they did it!”
Before they left for the final four tournament, The Eastchester School District gave them a send off and School Board President Chrissy Verdeschi Geagan wished them the best of luck.
Eastchester Supervisor Tony Colavita also spoke to girls and told them how all of the Town of Eastchester was supporting them and how proud they are of their accomplishments.
