City of Yonkers Unveils Yonkers-Tron

New LED Display Sign in Yonkers Downtown to Showcase City Happenings

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano today flipped the switch on the City’s new LED display sign, Yonkers-Tron.  Yonkers-Tron, affixed on top of the Government Center Garage on New Main Street near Nepperhan Avenue, will display the city’s latest news, events, images and videos to area residents and visitors.

“Yonkers-Tron welcomes all to our waterfront district and serves as another platform to inform and educate our residents about what’s happening in our City,” said Mayor Spano. “This LED display sign utilizes the latest technology to inform the public about matters of public safety and quality of life. All they have to do is look up.”

Yonkers-Tron, installed by the Yonkers’ Engineering Department , is 26 feet by 16 feet and is the latest addition to the City’s media imprint.
