In honor of Black History Month, we invite you to a special screening of Black Soil Rising.Set in Conecuh County, Alabama, the film tells the story of one family’s fight to defend their ancestral land. Framing land loss as both a story of climate justice and reparations, the film reveals the deep environmental harms of fossil fuel extraction while celebrating Black land stewardship and intergenerational resilience. The screening will be followed by an open community discussion on land justice, organizing, and the frontline impacts of extraction.
