More than 150 supporters gathered Wednesday evening at Centennial Golf Course for the official kickoff of County Executive Kevin Byrne’s re-election campaign, joined by a unified slate of local, state, and federal leaders committed to delivering results for Putnam County residents.

The event marked a joint campaign launch with Putnam County Clerk Michael Bartolotti, New York State Assemblyman Matt Slater, and U.S. Congressman Mike Lawler, underscoring a collaborative approach to public service across all levels of government.

“Tonight wasn’t just about kicking off a campaign, it was about celebrating what we’ve accomplished together and committing to the work ahead,” said Byrne. “We have delivered historic property tax relief, strengthened public safety, restored transparency and trust. I’m proud to stand with partners who share a results-driven vision for our future.”

Yorktown Town Councilman Sergio Esposito served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The National Anthem was performed by Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy, and Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Byrne also announced that Joseph Nickisher of Patterson has joined the re-election team as his Grassroots Campaign Organizer. Nickisher is a respected member of the Patterson Republican Committee, retired police detective, and Ex-Chief of the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department.
