The continued failure of Governor Hochul and Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins to adopt a budget is UNACCEPTABLE and puts Yonkers in an increasingly difficult position.
Without a finalized NYS budget, we are forced to make critical financial decisions without a clear picture of aid, mandates, or potential cost shifts. That uncertainty puts us behind the eight ball and limits our ability to plan responsibly for our taxpayers.
ALBANY OWES YONKERS BETTER THAN THIS.
I urge NYS leaders to reach an agreement immediately so cities like Yonkers can move forward with the clarity we need to govern effectively
