Another free program presented by the Untermyer Performing Arts Council!

On Saturday, July 16th, The Connecticut Ballet premiered Ballet Under the Stars 2022 right here at Untermyer Park, as part of the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s World Fest season of Summer Saturday evening programs!

` This exciting and “all new” blend of classical, contemporary and jazz ballets, was narrated by Artistic Director Brett Raphael. Two live performance world premiere ballets highlighted the night, Yamini Kalluri’s “Panchama” and guest choreographer Carlyn Hudson’s “A Piece That Might Never Happen About A Peace That Might Never Happen.” Additional numbers included the Spanish-styled ballet, “Paquita,” and “Threads from a String of Swing,” a spirited swing style dance punctuated by tunes by the Glenn Miller Big Band.
