M&M Performing Arts Company will present Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Price in the Grand Picture Gallery at Lyndhurst Mansion for three consecutive weekends in March. Performances will take place in the Grand Picture Gallery of Lyndhurst Mansion on Friday through Sundays from March 4-20, 2022. Tickets are $45 for all seats. All tickets must be purchased in advance, either at Lyndhurst.org or at 1-888-718-4253 opt. 1 (additional fees apply on phone orders). Parking is free. The subject matter is appropriate for ages 12 and up.
When the Great Depression cost his family their fortune, Victor Franz (Michael Muldoon, Yorktown Heights) gave up his dream of higher education to support his father. Three decades later, Victor has returned to his childhood home to sell the remainder of his parents’ estate.
Victor’s wife Esther (Melinda O’Brien, Yorktown Heights, who also directed the play), his estranged brother Walter (Richard Troiano, Monroe), and second-hand furniture appraiser Gregory Solomon (Bruce Apar, Yorktown Heights) all arrive with their own agendas, forcing Victor to question the true value of his sacrifice. Stage managers are Emmy Schwartz and Nan Weiss (both Briarcliff).
