An Third Party Candidate Can Win This Fall: McMullin Tied With Lee, in Utah Senate Race

Good news for the 42% of Americans who identify as Independents, and who want to vote for a third party candidate, coming out of the State of Utah.

Evan McMullin is now in a statistical tie with U.S. Senator Mike Lee, 47%-46%, with a 3.5% margin of error. McMullin, who ran for President in 2020 as an independent, entered the race to push back on Lee’s support of former President Trump and the overturning of the 2020 Presidential election.

“This is BIG: We’re officially leading @SenMikeLee in our latest poll! This is now the most competitive Senate race Utah has seen in 50 years—and it’s because of the coalition of principled Republicans, Democrats, and independents who have come together to protect our democracy,” tweeted McMullin.

The other takeaway from McMullin’s strong showing is how well he is doing in a deep Red, republican state like Utah.

Any third party political groups or organizations that can help McMullin should do so, in the hopes that the country can see a third party, independent candidate get elected to the US Senate on Election night, November 8.
