Campaign for New York State Assembly Unveils Website Showing Democrat Assemblywoman MaryJane Shimsky has Made Westchester Less Safe and Squandered Billions of Tax Dollars on Radical Policies
The Alessandro Crocco campaign for New York State Assembly, 92nd District, has launched RadicalShimsky.com as a means to illustrate how current democrat Assemblywoman MaryJane Shimsky has made Westchester families less safe, while spending billions of tax dollars of radical progressive policies in the best interest of New York City special interests, at the expense of Westchester families.
“Radical politician MaryJane Shimsky loves giving career criminals a free pass almost as much as she loves spending other people’s money on special interest schemes that benefit anyone but Westchester families,” said Crocco campaign spokesman, T.J. McCormack. “While crime is up across the board in Westchester, Shimsky supports legislation that would provide violent criminals eligibility for parole after just 15 years. Radical Shimsky is also working to pass legislation that would provide a gift to violent criminals by granting early release from prison on their 55th birthday no matter the violent crime they committed –including rape and murder. That’s not just radical, it’s sick.”
McCormack said Assemblywoman Shimsky has also consistently voted to raise taxes in order to fund radical policies and projects that have cost Westchester taxpayers billions.
“MaryJane Shimsky is a career politician who is addicted to other people’s money. As a county legislator, she voted for a 28% increase in Westchester County spending since 2017. Now that she has access to the Albany ATM (all their money), Assemblywoman Shimsky voted 125 times for $10.6 billion in Albany tax hikes–and that’s just over the past two years. $5 billion of that has gone to pay for hotels, cell phones and debit cards for illegal migrants. All this while Westchester families are already struggling to make ends meet.”
McCormack also notes that Shimsky has been a quick study at back room dealmaking in the corridors of supermajority democrat-controlled Albany. Her seemingly playing both sides in the contentious issue of Edgemont seceding from Greenburgh shows her affinity for professional, self-serving politics.
“Shimsky’s own legislation, written and passed to facilitate the separation of Edgemont from Greenburgh, will result in skyrocketing taxes, straining public services and potentially destroying recreation services. Not to mention that all of this would possibly violate federal equal protection laws.”
McCormack said the time has come to set a new course for New York by breaking up the Albany democrat supermajority.
“Alessandro Crocco, a husband, father and business owner is a legal immigrant who came from Italy in pursuit of the American Dream. He will be a mindful, pragmatic voice of reason, determined to be part of the rational solution to the radical problems caused by MaryJane Shimsky and her Albany crew.”
