Aerosmith Founding Member to Host Benefit Concert for Disabled Veterans

Nov 12 and 13–Barney McNabbs Tuckahoe Road Yonkers

Ray Tabano

Some of our readers may not know that two members of perhaps the greatest American Rock band EVER, Aerosmith, came from Yonkers.

Fifty-one years ago last week, Aerosmith played their first ever show in Massachusetts. Raymond Tabano was the band’s rhythm guitarist . Ray and his childhood friend Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler grew up in northeast Yonkers and attended Roosevelt High School. Later both moved to Boston and formed Aerosmith with Ray as the bands’s original rhythm guitarist. Ray Tabano has been featured internationally in books, documentary films, tv and radio shows

This weekend Tabano, is hosting a fundraiser for his favorite charity, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #23. This event will be held over a two-day span, Friday & Saturday November 12 & 13 at Barney Mcnabbs, 600 Tuckahoe Rd. Yonkers NY. Admission is $ 10.

Tabano and his Third Step Band will perform originals and covers of top British hits songs of the 60’s. Ray’s special guests on Friday night will be Sue & The Fun Ghouls and on Saturday it will be Lenny & The Biscuits. This will be a great show for a worthy cause.

The show also features a sparkling multi-media presentation of the period along with beginnings of Aerosmith who were influence by the music of that time. Some surprise celebrity guest maybe dropping in over the weekend. Don’t miss this rockin fun filled opportunity to be part of this wonderful and charitable event and help us help our Veterans.
