A Call to Action: Restoring Common Sense to New York

By Alberto Villate

New York, and Yonkers in particular, stands at a critical juncture. Our political system, dominated by a single party, has strayed far from its intended purpose. The Democratic Party’s unchecked power has fostered an environment where radical agendas overshadow the fundamental needs of everyday citizens.

The promise of a two-party system—balance and accountability—has been eroded. Instead, we witness a concentration of power that breeds not progress, but a disconnect between elected officials and the communities they serve. The “woke ruling elites,” as they’ve been termed, appear increasingly detached from the realities faced by working families, small business owners, and law-abiding residents.

This isn’t just a matter of differing opinions; it’s a crisis of governance. Key decisions are made along rigid party lines, ignoring the urgent concerns of our communities. We see policies that undermine public safety, stifle economic opportunity, and prioritize ideological agendas over the practical needs of our citizens. This trajectory threatens the very fabric of our freedoms and the values we hold dear.

The solution lies not in perpetuating the status quo, but in demanding change. We must elect leaders who are committed to serving the people, champions of what we call “Common Sense Sanity.” While the Democratic Party’s entrenched power and voter registration advantage present a challenge, inaction is not an option.

Our Mission: A United Front for Change

This is not about blind party loyalty; it’s about restoring integrity to our governance and ensuring our voices are heard. We are building a movement founded on core values that resonate with all New Yorkers.

We reject the notion that the Republican Party is an exclusive club. We are a diverse coalition, united in our commitment to revitalizing Yonkers and New York.

Community engagement is paramount. We must actively reach out to all residents—legal immigrants, Latinos, African Americans, and every demographic—demonstrating how our policies benefit everyone. By fostering inclusivity, we dismantle the divisive narratives of our opponents and build a coalition that reflects the true diversity of our state.

Unity is our greatest strength. We must prioritize our shared mission over any individual differences. Our pursuit of “Common Sense Sanity” demands collaboration and mutual support, putting the common good above personal agendas.

Complacency is no longer an option. We must engage, inform, and mobilize our base, ensuring that principled Republicans emerge as the authentic voice of our communities. We must support candidates who embody our values and commit to concrete action.
