Senator Biaggi Reveals Toxic Texts from Cuomo’s “Defensive Feminist Shield” DeRosa

State Senator Alessandra Biaggi
Meissa DeRosa

Cursing and Degrading Comments Made by the Governor’s Top Aide to a State Senator?

A recent New York Magazine article by Rebecca Traister (https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/andrew-cuomo-misconduct-allegations.html?utm_source=tw&utm_medium=s1&utm_campaign=nym) about Governor Andrew Cuomo details the toxic environment that has existed for more than a decade.  Included in the story are texts messages sent between State Senator Alessandra Biaggi, who represents Pelham in Westchester, and Cuomo chief aide Melissa DeRosa.

DeRosa, who is described in the story as a “defensive feminist shield” who yelled on his behalf and “amplified” the alleged abuses within his office.”

Sen. Biaggi took the Governor to task by publicly demanding why Cuomo and other elected officials didn’t know the Coronavirus  had spread to the USA from Europe and tweeting that true leaders “don’t rely on ‘others’ to see looming threats.”

That resulted in a barrage of toxic and horrific Tweets from DeRosa.

“Who is this directed at?” DeRosa allegedly told Biaggi in a series of heated texts. “You’re both full of shit and a pretty terrible person. If you’d like to share your thoughts I’m all ears.

“Given what a big mouth you have, I’m shocked that u [sic] knew the virus had come from Europe and didn’t say anything. I look forward to understanding why you kept the information to yourself.”

When Biaggi replied, “whoa,” DeRosa continued: “Please by all means. I’m dying to understand your position.”

“The fact is you are a revisionist liar.”

“And its disgusting”

“And sadly, I’m not surprised.”

“You are a bad person and are full of shit,” said DeRosa again, obviously showing her willingness to curse at an elected State Senator.

DeRosa also tweeted last year to Biaggi, “Are you drunk?” when the Senator doesn’t drink.

The lengthy New York Magazine piece, details an anti-feminist environment in which Cuomo would go out to political events or parties, find a young woman that he found attractive, and get his staff the next day to find her and interview her for a job.

The young women hired would have very little job duties, other than to look good for Cuomo, who would comment on their dress for the day.

If the New York Magazine story, and the Albany Times-Union story about a 6th accuser doesn’t get Cuomo to resign, only an impeachment and removal from office will…or perhaps a phone call from President Joe Biden.
