On October 4, 2026, at approximately 10:46 p.m., New Rochelle Police officers responded to multiple calls reporting gunfire near 2 Harrison Street. Officers arrived within minutes and found an adult male lying in front of the deli at that location. He was conscious but bleeding from the back of his head.
Officers immediately focused on ensuring the man received medical attention. Emergency medical personnel arrived quickly, provided on-scene care, and transported him to a local hospital. He is currently listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. His name is being withheld at this time.
While the victim was being treated and transported, officers secured the area, searched for evidence, and attempted to identify anyone who may have witnessed the incident. An anonymous individual reported seeing two men dressed in all black running toward Cedar Street shortly after the shooting.
