Longtime Pace Law leader recognized for decades of service, mentorship and steadfast support of PWJC and its mission

The Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) will celebrate its 35th anniversary on October 22 with a special benefit dinner at Lake Isle Country Club, honoring Angie D’Agostino, a longtime leader, mentor and advocate whose nearly four decades of service to Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law have touched generations of students and members of the legal community.

Throughout her tenure, D’Agostino has been a steadfast supporter and partner of PWJC. Over the years, she has collaborated with the Center on events raising awareness of domestic violence and the resources available to survivors, supported outreach initiatives that strengthen community connections, and opened doors for PWJC to engage law students and future legal professionals in its mission. She has also helped ensure that students experiencing domestic violence are connected with PWJC’s specialized services and support.

“Angie’s commitment to ensuring that people have access to support, resources and opportunities has been at the heart of her longstanding relationship with PWJC,” said Cindy Kanusher, Executive Director of the Pace Women’s Justice Center. “She has helped deepen our connection to the Pace community and engage future lawyers in the importance of advocating for survivors. As we celebrate 35 years of expanding access to justice, it is especially meaningful to honor Angie, whose own legacy reflects the advocacy, community and service that have defined PWJC’s work.”

A three-time Pace graduate, D’Agostino joined the Law School staff in 1986 and went on to hold several leadership positions in admissions and student affairs before serving as Dean for Students and Campus Affairs. Known affectionately by generations of students as “Dean D,” D’Agostino became a trusted source of guidance and support throughout the law school community, championing student wellness, supporting student organizations, and mentoring generations of students.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by the Pace Women’s Justice Center as it celebrates 35 years of extraordinary work on behalf of survivors,” said D’Agostino. “PWJC has long been an important resource for our community, and it has meant a great deal to me to help connect students with its work—both so they know where to turn when they need support and so future lawyers understand the difference they can make through advocacy and service. I am incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with PWJC.”

The October 22 celebration will mark PWJC’s 35 years of services while also recognizing the volunteers who have been integral to the Center’s work throughout its history. Among them are attorneys and former law students who have contributed their time and expertise through PWJC’s Pro Bono Volunteer Program, helping expand access to legal services for victims and survivors.

The PWJC 35th Anniversary Celebration will take place on October 22, 2026, at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, New York. Community members, attorneys, alumni, advocates and friends of Pace are invited to join PWJC in honoring Dean D’Agostino and her decades of service while supporting the Center’s continued work and mission.
