
On September 30, 2026, State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit, with the assistance of Troop T, arrested Kelvin L. Montana, 52, of Brooklyn, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st, a class “A” felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, a class “B” felony, and a vehicle and traffic law violation.
On September 30, 2026, at about 1:09 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle driven by Montana on Interstate 87 Thruway in Albany for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation, with the assistance of K9 “J,” discovered more than 2000 grams of a controlled substance that later field-tested positive for containing cocaine in a concealed compartment of the vehicle.
Montana was arrested and transported to SP Latham for processing. He was then arraigned at the Albany City Court, where he was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
