The community event brought together local nonprofits to support Yonkers residents while hosting family-friendly activities
Healthfirst held its annual Yonkers Family Fun Day on August 26th, empowering members of the community with health information including “Rethink Your Drink” — an interactive workshop on identifying added sugar in beverages. This year’s event was held at St. John’s Church Getty Square, and Healthfirst was joined by community organizations including the Yonkers YWCA, Yonkers Library, the Yonkers Community Action Program, and Westchester Jewish Community Services who shared information about behavioral health, food assistance and youth development programs with families. Providers from Westchester Community Health Center also conducted health screenings on site, and local residents enjoyed a bounce castle, corn hole toss, and free haircuts.
