Joint Narcotics Investigation Results in Drug Seizure and Felony Arrests in Peekskill

On Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, members of the Peekskill Police Department Detective Division, working in partnership with the Westchester County Narcotics unit, executed a search warrant at 1719 Park St. Apt. 3L, following an extensive investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in and around the City of Peekskill. During the execution of the warrant, Investigators recovered a significant quantity of suspected narcotics, including methamphetamine pills, cocaine, crack cocaine, and prescription medication, as well as packaging materials, a digital scale, and approximately $9,000.00 in US currency.

As a result of the investigation, Khaliem Turner and Gabrielle Malewere arrested and charged with:

• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree

• Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree

• Two additional counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree

• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree

• Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree (two counts).

Chief’s Statement: “Those who choose to sell dangerous narcotics in Peekskill should understand that they will be investigated, arrested, and prosecuted. This investigation demonstrates our commitment to proactive policing and our continued collaboration with regional law enforcement partners to dismantle drug trafficking operations before they can further harm our community.
