Tom DiNapoli’s campaign is declaring a victory in tonight’s debate for the Democratic primary in the State Comptroller’s race.
“Tom DiNapoli spent an hour speaking the truth about his record of standing up to Donald Trump, fighting for working families across New York, and holding corporations accountable. Bizarrely, his zero name recognition opponents with zero track record of delivering for New Yorkers wasted their allotted time trotting out lazy, baffling lies about Tom’s record,” said Aaron Ghitelman, spokesperson for Tom DiNapoli’s campaign. “Tom pushed back, laid out the facts, and made it abundantly clear what we’ve known since day 1 of this campaign: Tom DiNapoli is the only candidate fit to serve as New York State’s Comptroller. New York Democrats are too smart to fall for the snake oil being sold by a Kansas conservative and a corporate Democrat beholden to big real estate donors.”
Tom DiNapoli has been endorsed by Attorney General Tish James, Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressmembers Adriano Espaillat, George Latimer, John Mannion and Pat Ryan, and by organized labor unions including NYS AFL-CIO, 1199 SEIU, NYSNA, PEF, DC9, Building & Construction Trades Council, Council 66, TWU, HTC, 32BJ, AFSCME, CSEA, Teamsters and RWDSU, county leaders across the State, and in February earned the support of the Democratic Party of New York with 90% of the vote at their convention in Syracuse.
