MARIA REGINA HIGH SCHOOL’S NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY HOSTS FIRST PONYTAIL DRIVE

Madison Terrizzi, Yonkers (shown in photo above) was among a group comprising five Maria Regina High School students and a parent who participated in the school’s first Ponytail Drive, hosted by the National Honor Society.

During hair styling sessions, they donated a portion of their hair to Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit that provides human hair replacements to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss due to cancer treatments, burns, alopecia, among other causes.

Joining Madison in the drive were classmates Sophia Smith, Bronx; Calli Kazorck, Yonkers; Leah Croce, Dobbs Ferry and Sofia Kosmangionnis, Yonkers. A parent, Mrs. Shilaku, Shrub Oak, also donated to help the organization fulfill its mission, aptly described in the tagline, “Covering Young Heads to Heal Young Hearts.” Held on the campus of the renowned all-female Catholic high school,

Hair By Val K provided styling of the participants’ hair.
