Croton-on-Hudson Expands E-Bikeshare Program for 2026 Season

L-R: Deputy Mayor Len Simon, Trustee Nora Nicholson, David Koren from Drop Mobility and Mayor Brian Pugh open the new docking station at Senasqua Park.

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson announces the expansion of the Project MOVER e-bikeshare program. This week, riders will notice a new addition to the system: a docking station located next to Senasqua Park, providing easy e-bike access for those traveling to the waterfront.

The new station builds on the momentum of Phase One, which saw over one thousand trips by local riders between July 9, 2025, and December 19, 2025. Project MOVER came out of its winter pause last month. A new station on North Riverside Avenue is scheduled for installation later this year, further expanding residents’ transportation options.

Project MOVER is managed by Shared Mobility and financially supported by a grant from NYSERDA (New York State Research and Development Authority). Currently, Project MOVER serves six municipalities in Westchester County including the Town of Ossining and the Villages of Ossining, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Croton-on-Hudson, and Dobbs Ferry.

This regional approach allows riders to pick up an e-bike in Croton and drop it off at any hub in a participating community. Bicycles are collected, recharged and redistributed daily and logistical support is provided by Croton-on-Hudson’s own independent electric bike store, or “e-IBD,” Croton E-Bikes (formerly Pedego Croton-on-Hudson).

“Each car trip replaced by an e-bike means cleaner air and safer streets for our families. With the new Senasqua station and the upcoming North Riverside site, we are making it easier than ever to go green,” said Brian Pugh, Mayor.

“Adding Senasqua Park to the network and planning for North Riverside Avenue ensures that the e-bikeshare program is a viable option for more residents. This is an investment in our infrastructure that promotes both public health and environmental stewardship,” said Len Simon, Deputy Mayor and Board liaison to the Bicycle Pedestrian Committee.

“The Bicycle Pedestrian Committee is proud to support the growth of Project MOVER. These bikes are game-changers for local travel, and the new waterfront station makes our parks more accessible than ever,” said Matt Arnold, Chair of the Bicycle Pedestrian Committee.

”At the heart of this project is a commitment to ensuring every neighbor gets home safely, whether they are behind a wheel, on a bike, or on foot. All Project MOVER users must be over 18 and are required to wear a helmet. As more cyclists and pedestrians take to the streets, let’s all pay attention, slow down and share the road so everyone can get around safely.” said David Koren, Operations Manager for Drop Mobility.
