Eastchester St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal Gary Byrne
The 20th Annual Eastchester St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Sunday, March 15, at 3 pm. Our 2026 Parade Grand Marshal is Mr. Gary Byrne, a County Sligo Native and the General Manager of the Springhill Suites Marriott Hotel in Tuckahoe. Byrne said he will “lead the Parade with heart, optimism and an unwavering belief in the good of people.”
The Parade steps off at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe and its route travels to Main St, then north on White Plains Rd to Lake Isle Park in Eastchester. Bag pipers, Irish dancers, local scout and youth sports groups, marching bands, elected officials, and fire and police organizations highlight the Line of March. The Green Line, painted along the Parade route a few days prior to announce the coming festivities, is sponsored this year by Jack’s Bar & Restaurant in Eastchester—the place for modern Irish cuisine and innovative beverages.
Grand Marshal Byrne will be joined by Parade Honoree Annmarie Mulhern-Flannery, a Registered Nurse and RN Case Manager at White Plains Hospital. Byrne came to the United States in the mid-1990s with his lifelong passion for hospitality shaped by his family’s hotel business and its legendary dancehall, the Baymount and Silver Slipper in Sligo, one of Ireland’s most popular gathering places.
Honoree Annmarie Mulhern-Flannery’s Irish heritage stems from her mother Kathleen’s roots in County Clare and from her father John, the son of immigrants from County Donegal. She has lived in Eastchester for 25 years and has belonged to EIASC for those 25 years, serving in leadership roles, including Vice President, and has volunteered at many events.
The parade starts at 3 pm at the Immaculate Conception School and proceeds north on Main Street in Eastchester. At the White Plains Road intersection, it continues north on White Plains Road to Lake Isle Country Club.
On March 21, the Yonkers St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kick off on McLean Avenue. If you haven’t been to this one, it’s worth the trip, and debates over whether the Yonkers parade is the 2nd best parade in New York continue. Read More at Yonkerstimes.com.
And on March 22, the 14th Sound Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place along Mamaroneck Avenue in Mamaroneck. This year’s Parade Grand Marshal is Joe Carvin of Port Chester.
Joe Carvin has lived and worked on five continents, speaks five languages, and built a three-decade career in emerging-markets finance before transitioning into public service and global education.
