On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the all-day event drew thousands of visitors to celebrate Bald Eagles, regional wildlife and supporting environmental education.

Teatown Lake Reservation welcomed thousands of visitors to Croton Point Park on Saturday, February 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 22nd Annual Hudson River EagleFest® 2026. The event celebrates the majesty of Bald Eagles during their annual winter migration along the Lower Hudson Valley with live bird-of-prey shows, educational exhibitions, crafts and games, food trucks, music and more family-friendly programming.

Local elected officials including Assembly Member Dana Levenberg; Ossining Mayor, Rika Levin; Croton-on-Hudson Mayor, Brian Pugh; and First Deputy Parks Commissioner Peter Tartaglia joined the event and delivered remarks highlighting the community’s commitment to Teatown’s mission of environmental stewardship and conservation efforts, as well as EagleFest’s significance to the region as an annual tradition.

“Year after year, visitors from around the region continue to make EagleFest a bright spot in the winter months, bringing us together over a shared wonder and appreciation for local wildlife. We were thrilled to welcome thousands of visitors to experience the festival, helping to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards and highlighting the critical role our region plays as a winter habitat for these majestic birds of prey,” said Kevin Carter, Teatown Lake Reservation’s Executive Director.

“EagleFest is one of Westchester’s great winter traditions. For over two decades, EagleFest has brought families together to celebrate the incredible environmental comeback story of the bald eagle in the Hudson Valley. Seeing thousands of people gather at Croton Point Park to learn about conservation and appreciate the natural beauty around us speaks to the strong environmental values that define Westchester,” said Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins.

“For 22 years, Teatown EagleFest has served as a joyous reminder of the success of yearslong environmental conservation efforts in the Hudson Valley. The work that led to the return of bald eagles to this area deserves to be celebrated. No matter the temperature, I always look forward to this event,” said Assembly Member Dana Levenberg.

“Teatown’s EagleFest is a signature annual celebration of the bald eagle and a Westchester inspiring winter tradition, drawing visitors from across the region for seasonal getaways. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience our beautiful parks, embrace winter, connect with nature and explore all that Westchester has to offer,” said Westchester County Tourism & Film Director Natasha Caputo.
