The Rye Arts Center’s beloved Ladies Comedy Night returned on Thursday, November 6th, drawing over 275 women—its largest audience ever—from Rye and the surrounding area for an unforgettable evening of laughter, community, and creativity.

Hosted by the incomparable Kim Berns, the night featured a powerhouse lineup of female comedians, Olivia Barbulescu, Nancy O’Connor, Nancy Witter, and headliner Maureen Langan, who kept the crowd roaring from start to finish.

Beyond the laughs, the evening delivered on purpose. Guests enjoyed luxury raffle prizes from local businesses, delectable bites, and plenty of sparkle, all in support of The Rye Arts Center’s mission to make the arts accessible to everyone through scholarships and community outreach.

“The energy in the room was extraordinary,” said Alli West, Director of Development at The Rye Arts Center. “To see so many women, artists, professionals, mothers, neighbors, come together to celebrate creativity and give back so generously was profoundly inspiring. It’s a reminder of the power of connection and shared purpose.” The event raised over $50,000, marking its most successful year yet.

Held at The Community Synagogue of Rye, the night also celebrated a record 18 community sponsors, reflecting the extraordinary generosity of local businesses and residents. Leading sponsors included distinguished real estate professionals Fiona Dogan of Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty and Lisa Murphy of Houlihan Lawrence, Carpet Trends, and Kings Capital Construction, alongside an inspiring group of female-owned businesses—Ryemarkable Moms, Nivelle Law, The Law Office of Rita J. Tino, Esq., Tuliptree Advisory, Rye Ballet, and Kathleen Wood, arts educator—plus NUMI, Wine at Five, Rye Country Store, Connect to Northern Westchester Magazine, Consigli Construction, Langan Engineering, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and National Advertising & Printing Corp.
