The Harvest fundraiser event is being held to raise funds to repair, renovate and restore St. Mary’s Church (Church of the Immaculate Conception). This special event is also an opportunity for people in the community to get to know one another.

The event welcomes all members of the Yonkers community, and beyond, including both former and current parishioners of the parish. All are invited for a good time that includes great food, live entertainment, music, dancing, giveaways, and community-building.

Special guests from the Yonkers community will make a special appearance. Seattle Author and former Yonkers resident Patricia Vaccarino will autograph copies of her three books in “The Yonkers Trilogy.” She will also autograph “The Death of a Library: An American Tragedy,” a nonfiction work that uncovers why the Yonkers Carnegie Library was demolished in 1982. All proceeds from book sales will go to St. Mary’s Friends.

Guests will be asked to register and the suggested donation is $50 per person. Children under 12 are admitted free. If you have questions, comments, please email stmarysfriendsorg@gmail.com.

Members of St. Mary’s Friends will be present to answer questions about recent renovation projects and fundraising efforts. In the coming months, St. Mary’s Friends plans to host additional events that will serve the greater St. Mary’s community and raise awareness for its renovation projects. Attendees are invited to give testimonials about what St. Mary’s Church means to them.
