THE 49TH ANNUAL WESTCHESTER JEWISH COUNCIL MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL RETURNS AUGUST 17

Expect dancing, kosher food and over 40 vendors.

It’s almost time to shop, nosh and celebrate. The 49th Annual Jewish Music & Arts Festival will bring a full day of spirited fun to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on Sunday, August 17, from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

Headlining this year’s event is TLV Band, North America’s premier Israeli music cover band. Also taking the stage: the harmony-driven folk duo the Levins; the high-energy Westchester Klezmer Reshtl; Kol Hazzanim–Westchester Community of Cantors; Israeli dancing with Leng; and juggler Ned Gelfars.

Kids can laugh along with the WonderSparks’ puppet show, sponsored by PJ Library, while adults can browse over 40 vendors offering crafts, jewelry and community resources. Kosher food vendors will serve up bites all day.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “The Jewish Music & Arts Festival is a cornerstone of our county’s summer season and a beautiful reminder of the rich variety of religions that defines our County. From music and dancing to delicious food and a neighborly spirit, it’s a celebration for everyone to enjoy.”

Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “We’re proud to host this vibrant event at Kensico Dam Plaza year after year. It’s a day filled with gaiety, creativity and connection. We welcome people from Westchester and beyond to come out and be part of the fun.”

Admission and parking are free. Please bring a blanket or folding chair for lawn seating. The event is rain or shine. Coolers are not permitted, and overflow parking is available at the Valhalla and North White Plains Metro-North stations.

Pre-registration is suggested, but not required for entry, at www.wjcouncil.org.

The final 2025 cultural festival is Muslim Heritage, Sunday, Aug. 24 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

Kensico Dam Plaza is at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.

This event presented by the Westchester Jewish Council and Westchester County Parks, with support from The Kensington and PJ Library.
