Manhattanville University is proud to announce a significant surge in enrollment for Fall 2025, marking the institution’s largest incoming first-year class since 2017. With a 32% year-over-year increase in deposits and a 65% rise in applications, the university is experiencing its most robust undergraduate growth in four consecutive years.
“We are thrilled to see a significant increase in new student applications at Manhattanville University with deposits up 32% over fall of 2024,” said President Frank D. Sánchez, Ph.D. “We are anticipating the largest class of first-year students since 2017. This surge is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and innovation. We look forward to welcoming this new cohort of talented and motivated students to our vibrant campus community.”
Professional education and the sciences as well as accelerated options are a driver of new enrollments. The university attributes this growth to the launch of innovative academic programs, including new majors in Cybersecurity, Neuroscience, Data Science, Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Education, as well as accelerated degree options that provide students with flexible and career-focused pathways.
Key highlights of the incoming class include:
- Higher average high school GPA compared to last year: Up 32% year over year – those with 3.5 GPA and higher
- 36% increase in residential students
- Applications from 49 states, 4 U.S. territories, and 35 countries
- Deposits from 24 states, 2 territories, and 13 countries
- 42% increase in deposits for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences; 185% increase in deposits for Radiologic Technology
- 100% increase in deposits for School of Education for the undergraduate education program
“I’m excited to say that Manhattanville is continuing to grow our enrollment and educate students that come from our local schools and schools as far as California and beyond,” said Christina Labella, Director of Undergraduate Admissions. “This year’s incoming first-year class is not only our largest in nearly a decade, but it is one of our most academically prepared classes with a thirty-two percent increase in deposits of students with a 3.5 GPA or higher. We are seeing enormous interest and growth in living on campus with applications from nearly all 50 states across the U.S.”
“Manhattanville is staying ahead of the curve by facilitating experiential learning opportunities for all undergraduate students and offering accelerated advanced degree opportunities for all academic programs,” said Christine Dehne, M.F.A., Provost and Executive Vice President. “The hands-on learning experiences we provide ensure that our students are not only well-prepared academically but also ready to make meaningful contributions in the real world.”
