The “Printer Bandit” Has 40 Arrests for Other Thefts

From the Yonkers Police Department: Say hello to Curtis Moore- the printer bandit from La Pinata Bakery earlier this week. Curtis walked out of the bakery at 118 New Main Street with a box containing a new printer early Tuesday morning. Once it was reported to us by the owner, Detectives in our Crime Control Strategies Unit were on the case. They soon identified Curtis, and he was apprehended earlier today with the assistance of the Pattern Crimes Unit.

Keeping with the printer theme- Curtis’s rap sheet was so long (70 pages) that it overheated our own printer. Even though he just turned 40 this month, he has racked up over 40 total career arrests- mostly for thefts and other charges related to taking things that don’t belong to him. Curtis was charged with (yet another) Petit Larceny in relation to this week’s theft.

We’d like to stress to all businesses that if a theft occurs at your establishment, the best course of action is to call us RIGHT AWAY. Delays in reporting the crime to us usually mean delays in catching the bad guy. And if you don’t report it at all, then you’re just not helping anyone…
