The last senior prom of the season didn’t happen with students from a Westchester high school. Residents of the North Westchester Restorative Therapy & Nursing Center in Mohegan Lake recently held a prom for senior citizens.
Prom King Robert Gulley and Queen Angelina Friedman posed together at the first senior prom at the center and were joined by other residents and their families, proving that you don’t have to be a teenager to have fun at the prom. The center’s staff helped with prom attire, hair and makeup, while corsages were supplied by a local florist.
Highlighting the event were photos of the residents living it up at their proms way back in high school. Later this month, the residents will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival with tie-dyed attire and other mementos from the epic concert.
