Joseph A. Romano
The Enrico Fermi Educational Fund of Yonkers proudly announces that Joseph A. Romano has joined the Board of Trustees effective immediately. Rich Poccia, Co- President said “We are so honored to have Joe Romano join our Board of Trustees. The Romano family has a rich history in Yonkers, just as Enrico Fermi – now in our 62nd year – does. The Romano family has carried on the legacy of their father, John Romano, who was one of the forefathers of Enrico Fermi and they have been providing scholarship funding for scholarships in their fathers and uncle’s name through Enrico Fermi for the past several years for students from Yonkers”.
Enrico Fermi was founded on the principles of giving back to the Community by providing college scholarships to residents of Yonkers, and more recently, Westchester County who excel academically, have an impact in the community and are of traceable Italian heritage.
Joe Romano said “I am so delighted to join the Board of Enrico Fermi. The core values and mission is very much aligned to my family and I know that I can help make even a bigger impact in our community. As an attorney, I see the value of education and look to this as one way to make a difference and carry on in the great wishes of my Dad. I encourage others to make a difference too”.
Joe Romano, an accomplished Yonkers based attorney has been active in many community activities, in addition to his robust legal practice.
Rich Poccia concluded by saying “Joe and the Romano family is an asset to the City of Yonkers and Westchester County and we are glad that he will be by our side as we continue to carry on the legacy of the Enrico Fermi Educational Fund of Yonkers and provide scholarships for years to come

In loving memory of John N. Romano, the Romano family continues to support various educational programs. Helping others is fundamental to Joseph’s nature and has become the most rewarding aspect of his life.
