This year’s breakfast was dedicated to the Hon. Angelo Martinelli, former mayor of the City of Yonkers and one of the original trustees of the organization.

This year’s breakfast emcee was WABC television reporter Ken Rosato. Elected officials in attendance included Mayor Mike Spano, County Executive George Latimer, State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, State Sen. Shelley Mayer, Assemblyman Nader Sayegh and City Council President Mike Khader.

The Enrico Fermi Educational Fund of Yonkers is a non-profit organization that was founded more than 56 years ago. It began as a vision of several individuals, led by Michael Vitulli, to generate financial support for Italian-American students who reside in Yonkers to further their education.

To date, the organization has provided scholarships totaling more than $1 million.
