Legendary rapper 50 Cent paid a visit to Yonkers, and the Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers, to promote his Champage Le Chemin du Roi (The King’s Path) but to also meet with his fans. The event included giveaways and bottle signings of both champagne and 50 Cent’s Cognac, Branson VS Cognac Phantom.
County Legislator James Nolan from Yonkers welcomed 50 Cent to Yonkers, pictured above, and presented him with a proclamation from the county board.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, lived nearby in Connecticut for almost 20 years.
50 Cent grew up in Queens, NY. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. He survived getting shot 9 times in 2000, three years before his first major-label album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (2003).
